• I’ve been married to my high school sweet-heart Craig for over 28 years. Can you believe it … 28 years? We’ve had our struggles and it hasn’t always been easy. But he is the love of my life & I’m his. We were truly made for each other!

We’ve got two terrific sons in their twenties. Dillon (24yrs) finished college & recently moved to the East to start a new job. (Which has been a little hard on me, he’s the first one to completely leave the nest!)  Cody (21yrs) is back living at home to save some money while he finishes his education. This fall semester he’s a junior at the University of Northern Iowa. (So I’ve got a couple more years before he flies the coop.) 
That’s my family - which has inspired me to be passionate about saving and spending money wisely. Being frugal and organized with our finances has been the key to making a good life on a blue-collar income.
Not that I’m against making more money. No way, never! For more than two decades we were owner/landlords of multiple rental properties. I’ve also had a couple of small businesses over the years. Obviously, all that was to make more money! Yet I believe true wisdom (especially in this economy) is spending what you have wisely and saving some for the future.
