Tips to Maximize Our Time

Published by iowahippiechick at 9:47 pm under Simplify Our Life Edit This

  • Haste makes waste - We don’t want to work so fast that we have to spend more time correcting mistakes.  (Moving faster provides a short-term solution, but often not a long-term one.)
  • Use a planner - Planning gives us control of our schedule.  (It may surprise us how often we overestimate and underestimate the time we need to complete items on our list and on our calendar.)
  • Work smarter - If we run low on time, simplify our task.  Getting it done with a couple less frills probably beats not getting it done at all.  (Sometimes we forget that preparation and wrap-up can take almost as long as the actual task.)

We all know time is money -

And these days we could all use more of both!

What tips do you have for maximizing your time?

Have a terrific day!

I sometimes am very guilty of the ‘Haste Makes Waste’ one. I try to take my time and doublecheck everything, but also in the back of my mind I’m thinking “got to get this done!” So, I finish it, then later find out I made mistakes and have to go back over it all again!

Great suggestions. I’m starting to wonder if I waste valuable time by over multi-tasking instead of focusing on one task and finishing it faster.

I love what you shared about your mom! (and the nun)

    Everyday is my birthday! :)

    Take care.
